The vision for a trip to Africa began two years ago when Amanda, an LMCA freshman, began conversation with an organization in Rwanda called Africa New Life Ministry. Through this we have had groups come visit our school, we have sponsored kids through our classroomsas, and now a small group of us are heading out to see the ministry first hand.
We arrive in Kigali, Rwanda on June 20, 2009. Check our blog for pictures and updates throughout our 2 week trip.
We are praying for you! May you go where the Lord leads you, with full confidence in His ways and His plans. Bless and be blessed! With love!
Hi Amanda – I’m so jazzed for you about the trip to Rwanda! may God bless all your effort, ministry and heart throughout the trip.

I’ll be checking the blog frequently for pics – also want to TY for the lovely update/ty note! vaya con Dios….L

Hi Amanda and Det.
I’ve had you both on my heart and in prayer. doubtless, you will see many kids without fathers, and many without mothers too. I’m sure some of what you’ll see will be hard, but just remember that God’s word goes out and never returns empty. All that you do and say there will affect others, though it may be in ways you dont see immediately, and may never see at all, but will nonetheless have a positive impact.
Amanda, I’m sure you know what an awesome dad you have – and what a rare gift that is. GB you both and keep you safe. I’m looking forward to seeing pictures and hearing stories of your mission! to your dad: Happy Father’s Day!!

What an awesome opportunity for you both. You are in our prayers for protection and the ability to share God’s love.

Hi my bro, sis and my daughters. Are you totally being pushed out of yourselves? What a thrilling advancement for the kingdom of God as HE promotes you all to higher levels of ministry. I’m proud of you and the work you are doing for the love of Christ. I love you all and I’m praying for you.
